Engage the Experts

Blueways Ireland recommends participation through appropriately-qualified and experienced activity providers who will advise on your safety and help prepare you for your trip using these five “Stay” safety principles: 

FIND AN ACTIVITY PROVIDER

Stay on top of the weather

A provider will check conditions like wind, rain and tides to keep your trip safe.

Stay where it’s safest

A provider will know and understand the impact of local hazards.

Stay together

A provider will manage the group so you can adventure safely and someone always knows your plans.

Stay afloat

A provider will provide a buoyancy aid for you to wear as part of an organised water activity.

Stay connected

An activity provider will have a way to call for help and will manage emergencies.
